India

In the suburban slums and remote villages of India, as you walk past the makeshift dwellings, you will see many children playing in the dirty streets.

A lot of children in India’s most vulnerable communities don’t have regular access to education, so very few adults have education beyond primary school, either. Girls are susceptible to child marriage, staying at home, learning domestic skills, or working to supplement their families’ income. Adults’ access to literacy and education is limited, making it challenging to participate in society.

We have two projects underway in India with our partner, Hosanna Ministries.

Through our partnership, we’re providing vocational skills training and literacy training for adults,  basic education and healthy school snacks for children, support for people with blindness, and pop-up health camps in partnership with local hospitals and medical professionals.

We are working alongside the local communities to raise the standard of living and help break the poverty cycle for people living in vulnerable communities. To share hope and help them create lasting change and a better quality of life.

Will you put your faith into action by supporting our partners in India?
