Thailand

Thailand has long been a haven for those fleeing upheaval in neighbouring countries. There is a focus in the churches on ministering across various ethnic groups, particularly for churches located near the Thai border and working with migrant communities from places like Myanmar.

Our partnership in Thailand focuses on developing leaders and resourcing church planting to support outreach to various ethnic groups. One group is the tribal Plang community, a minority group not recognised by the Thai government. Other minority groups include Mon and Karen, who also enter Thailand from Myanmar.

Evangelism across ethnic groups is not easy. The church’s mission in Thailand is to walk with God and bring dignity and respect for the ethnicity of the people they serve.
