Keep Going, Keep Sailing and Serving

Tuesday, 21 July 2015

“Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done. Glory in His holy name, let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Remember the wonders he has done, His miracles and judgments pronounced.” Psalms 105:1,3,5

In March we experienced the worst Tropical Cyclone to hit Vanuatu. Cyclone Pam left Ponra Church in South East Pentecost, Imarap, Ikuningen and Sarabetu with huge damage. Not just damage but all totally destroyed. While that is a lot to rebuild, there are many good things that will come from this as well as blessings for the churches. Many individual members have been left with no personal possessions but God graciously continues to sustain each and everyone with what they need. The churches of Christ in Santo, Nasaran Vunamele, Sara one communities, CCCV second hand shop and Port Villa churches put their hands together to collect clothes for the churches of Christ members in Tanna as we know the many families who need support the most. Tanna Churches continue to grow in the love of God; they are inspired from the natural damages experienced from the cyclone. New members of Imarap were lead to the Lord recently and have since been baptized. This is an encouragement to keep going, keep sailing and serving. There will be many trials to be experienced but God always has his best for those who love him and never look back. We continue to ask for prayer and we continue to thank and praise God for what he is doing, that His mighty hand is upon the work of every Island Conference, to receive further encouragement and sustainment for leaders building and rebuilding after the cyclone.
