Hill Tribe Sustainable Income Project
Let's bring change through sustainable income.
The Church of Christ Thailand (CCT) Social Development and Services Unit is involved in a variety of community activities. These include human rights for migrants and minority communities. The Hill Tribe Sustainable Income Project works among hill tribes in the highland area of Northern Thailand with a community-based approach. These include tribes such as Mae Kon, Ban Klang, Huai Maduea and Ban Pang Takhrai to make enough money through crop and livestock production. The approach also aims to help sustain a steady economy through existing opportunities for work and by encouraging the communties to buy local produce. It also promotes community development by encouraging healthy food choices and improving quality of life for those with disability or those disadvantaged in other ways.
