Walk For Hope
This Easter, you can help sow seeds towards hope and restoration in our nation.
This year’s Walk for Hope Easter Appeal will support Indigenous Ministry Australia (IMA).
Your support will help Indigenous leaders to grow kingdom ministries and serve their communities. You can enable Christian outreach in communities and provide young Indigenous leaders with resources to develop their calling to ministry.
One of these young leaders is Lonny, a young, Wirangu and Wongi man from Adelaide, South Australia.
With the help of mentoring from an Aboriginal Elder, he came to faith and found greater purpose for his life. Lonny completed a diploma of ministry and is now the Associate Pastor at the Melbourne Indigenous Church Fellowship.
When Lonny was studying at Bible college , the IMA Pathways program provided Lonny with access to resources and travel. The Pathways program also sponsored Lonny’s mentor to attend his graduation.
Lonny is passionate about sharing the gospel and can see the need for support; particularly for young Indigenous people like himself. “We need young fellas to stand up. Young fellas can stand up in sports, work and trades… so who is standing up for faith?” Lonny shared.
This Easter your gift can help grow seeds of faith in the lives of young Indigenous leaders. Let’s walk together in hope.
Donations to Walk for Hope are not tax deductible and will support IMA projects including, but not limited to, the ones referred to here.
