India Hosanna Prakash Tekadi
Let’s Bring Change through Health and Education
Prakash Tekadi is a community of about 180 people squatting near the main garbage tip, in the Ambernath district of Mumbai, India. They live in extremely poor and unhygienic conditions. Very few people have education beyond primary school, and the children in the community have no regular access to education.
This project will help improve the standard of living in this community. It aims to improve community members’ education and health, and empower the community.
The project will run a literacy program for children, youth and women. It will provide opportunities for youth to access vocational training. The project will arrange monthly doctor visits, medical check-up camps and health information workshops with appropriate medical professionals.
Through improving Health and Education in Prakash Tekadi, the project aims to increase their standard of living.
Your gift will help bring real change by giving education and healthcare to people living in Prakash Tekadi. Your ongoing commitment will help raise the standard of living, and empower the community to help break the cycle of poverty.
