Where We Work
Australia
Overview
Australia’s Indigenous peoples possess rich and diverse traditions and culture, showcasing deep connections to the land and a profound spiritual heritage through art, storytelling, and sustainable living that enriches the nation’s identity.
Global Mission Partners seeks to focus on ministry within Australia that is developed and planned in close consultation with Indigenous people. This inclusion allows key Indigenous leaders and communities nationwide to set in-depth direction.
Ministry priority areas include:

- Exploring new ministry paradigms, models and practices
- Supporting new, Indigenous-led initiatives
- Partnerships based on equality and mutuality
- Focus on justice and advocacy

- Focus on mission and community development
Indigenous Ministries Australia was established in 2013 by Global Missions Partners and is historically known as the Australian Churches of Christ Indigenous Ministries and the Federal Aborigines Board.
