Juraki Discovery Visit

In August 2025, the Global Mission Partners IMA program is hosting a discovery visit to experience the culture and faith of one of our Indigenous ministry partners, Juraki, on stunning Bunjalung country in northern New South Wales.

You’re invited on this IMA discovery trip to explore the relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people and communities, to listen, learn, and work together towards a reconciled and healed Australia based on God’s justice and mercy.

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with and learn about the rich culture of the Bunjalung peoples, hosted by local Indigenous Christian leaders. These partners work, sharing the Gospel and God’s love through faith-based community programs.

Participants will experience activities that include:

  • Welcome to Country
  • Cultural dance ceremony
  • Tours of the local cultural sites
  • Cultural awareness input sessions
  • Campfire reflection and yarning times
  • Beach time and water safety

Hosted by Nick Wight and Juraki, participants will experience a range of immersive activities and de-briefing ‘yarns’.
