Dusty Feet Mob Immersion Trip
In May 2026, Global Mission Partners IMA program is hosting a discovery visit to experience the culture and faith of one of our Indigenous ministry partners, Dusty Feet Mob, in outback South Australia.
You’re invited on this IMA immersion trip to explore the relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people and communities, to listen, learn, and work together towards a reconciled and healed Australia based on God’s justice and mercy.
This trip offers a unique on-country experience with the Dusty Feet Mob in the stunning Southern Flinders Ranges about 3.5 hours north of Adelaide. Dusty Feet Mob is an Aboriginal faith based program and dance group from Port Augusta, South Australia, comprising members aged six to thirty-one. More than just a dance troupe, they foster strength, confidence, and dignity within their community. Notably, they perform to Archie Roach’s song “Took the Children Away,” using dance to promote healing and address the legacy of the stolen generations.
Supported by parents, grandparents, and mentors, Dusty Feet Mob plays a crucial role in passing down faith, cultural knowledge, language, and stories. Through contemporary song and dance, they share Aboriginal culture with broader audiences, reinforcing connections to culture, language, and country. Their performances and workshops, held nationwide, aim to celebrate Aboriginal identity and foster understanding and empathy among both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities.
The 3-day stay includes:
- Welcome ceremonies
