Local churches working together

The Churches of Christ in Vietnam are a group of local churches working together to share the gospel and build strong Christian communities. Through the International Church Partnerships program, Global Mission Partners connects Australian churches with Vietnamese churches to provide training, encouragement and practical help. Together they focus on developing leaders, theological training, evangelism and community care.

What is the Vietnam church partnership?

The Churches of Christ in Vietnam have continued to grow through their partnership with Global Mission Partners. 2025 brought real challenges, including tight finances, pressure from the government and a temporary loss of contact with their Australian partners. Even so, the local church has shown great strength and faith. A new leadership team was formed, and Pastor Nguyen Tan Bin was appointed National Director to lead the ministry forward.

What is the impact of this project?

The partnership between Australian and Vietnamese churches has made a real difference in strengthening local congregations and raising up new leaders. Bible study groups and training programs have helped people grow deeper in their faith, while also giving pastors the skills and confidence they need to care for their congregations well. The ministry continues to bear fruit in exciting ways. Over the past year, about 60 people have made the decision to follow Jesus and been baptised into the faith. Even more encouraging is that several new churches are being established in different parts of Vietnam, sharing the love of God to areas that previously had no Christian presence.
