The devastating bushfires in Victoria have brought widespread hardship, leaving communities across Victoria grappling with loss and uncertainty. In partnership with the National Conference of Churches of Christ in Australia, Global Mission Partners Extend is urgently calling on its members to donate to the Australia Disaster Fund in support of the needs of those who have lost homes, livelihoods, and peace of mind.

We are focusing our relief efforts on providing vital support and long-term recovery assistance to affected families, particularly in the Castlemaine and Horsham areas.

Your donation to the Australia Disaster Fund will provide:

• Trauma support
• Resources needed to help local churches respond to these communities as they rebuild their lives after the bushfires.

What is GMP Assist?

In response to the ever-increasing number of emergencies our country is facing each year, GMP Assist, our entity for emergency response in Australia, has established the Australia Disaster Fund.

Donated funds will be collected in advance and distributed quickly during disasters. We will coordinate support through the Churches of Christ State Conferences, and other local churches and Christian agencies with the capacity to identify, support and meet the needs of those affected by floods, storms or bushfires. The Australia Disaster Fund will ensure funds will be on standby when needed most. Funds received in excess of a specific appeal need will be directed to similar future disaster responses.
