This one-off study is designed to help young people explore the intersection of water justice and climate justice around the globe. We hope this resource leads to good discussion and greater awareness of the importance of water and a Christian response to the unfolding climate crisis.

Young people care passionately about climate change
In the 2023 Youth Survey, Mission Australia reported that the environment and climate change was the most common concern among young people surveyed. The second was equity and discrimination. This study sits at the intersection of these two concerns, with a particular focus on water, sanitation, and hygiene.
Young people in your church care about the environment. They are alert to the risks of climate change, and informed about the impacts. And they care about the inherent injustice that those least at fault for climate change are bearing the brunt of the impacts. This study will help you open up conversation about these issues close to the hearts of many young people.
