Prayer for Israel and Palestine

For peace and an end to violence

  • Pray for a lasting ceasefire and a definitive end to the violence that has brought death and destruction.
  • Pray for a peaceful resolution based on justice and reconciliation for both Palestinians and Israelis. Ask for the cycle of violence and vengeance to be broken.
  • Pray that hatred would be transformed into love, fear into trust, and despair into hope among all people in the region.
  • Pray against the forces of evil that seek to cause murder, maiming, and loss of life.

For the victims and grieving

  • Pray for the families who are grieving the loss of loved ones and whose lives have been torn apart by the conflict.
  • Pray for the protection of all civilians, particularly the most vulnerable, including children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
  • Pray for healing for those who are injured, traumatised, or suffering from physical and emotional wounds.
  • Pray for the hostages and their families, for their safe return and for their physical and mental recovery.

For humanitarian aid and medical care

  • Pray for safe and unrestricted humanitarian access so that vital aid can reach those in need.
  • Pray for the provision of food, clean water, medical supplies, and shelter for the many people who have been displaced from their homes.
  • Pray for humanitarian workers and medical staff, for their protection, wisdom, and strength as they provide life-saving services.

For leaders and decision-makers

  • Pray for world leaders with influence in the region to make wise, compassionate, and just decisions.
  • Pray for leaders on all sides of the conflict to be guided toward peace and to safeguard human life.
  • Pray that leaders would have a change of heart, choosing diplomacy and peaceful solutions over war.

For hope and spiritual strength

  • Pray that those suffering would not lose hope, even in the face of immense trauma and violence.
  • Pray for church and faith leaders in the region to have wisdom and strength as they guide their communities.
  • Pray that people would be inspired to work toward a future where everyone can live with justice, dignity, and mutual respect.
