I joined Global Mission Partners as one of their first Australian-based workers for Indigenous Ministries Australia (IMA).
My passion has always been working with youth, along with helping and serving others. Aviation is a more recent passion that led me to return to Australia after having worked for five years in the US. My time in the USA was spent taking young people on short-term trips around the world, with the goal of serving and helping others in remote and underprivileged areas. My desire is to continue working with youth, supporting and encouraging them in any way I can with the goal of leading them to Christ.
My new position with GMP allows me to do just that as a fly in/fly out School Chaplain in two Aboriginal communities (Noonkanbah and Millijiddee) in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. Here, I work with Dave Powell running emotional and social well-being programs in a number of classes, coaching after-school sports programs, as well as connecting with and counselling individual children.
I enjoy time off on the weekends in Derby, catching up with friends and the fellowship group, watching movies, cooking and doing craft projects.
