Emergency Assistance to People Affected by Earthquake and Tsunami in Central Sulawesi – Update
From the August 2019 report good progress has been made in supporting those people affected by the devastating earthquake and Tsunami.
Over 11,670 households have received shelter which also includes training in safe and healthy housing construction and constructing prototype houses for people with disabilities.
Over 6,828 households now have access to safe water and sanitation facilities
New activities have been added to the assistance to work with communities to better prepare their capacity in preparedness and disaster response. This involves the conducting workshops in the communities to help them develop their emergency action plan.
